WDHR was founded in 1991 by Patrick Desplace.  It operates internationally. Teachers operating under the WDHR banner have run courses in places as diverse as the USA, England, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Israel, Canada and Peru.

WDHR serves as a forum for exchanging knowledge and experience.  We believe that life is a gift that we are meant enjoy.   We aim to assist as many people as possible to discover and develop the resources required so that they can experience the satisfaction of a life well lived.  For more information read our Charter.

WDHR believes that all human beings have far more potential for happiness, spiritual peace and success than they can imagine.   By the time that people become adults most have had their faith in themselves and the goodness of the universe educated out of them.  They have lost their native commonsense and creativity and have been taught to believe that it is right to ask for very little, that the universe is a place of competition and scarcity and that all sorts of people in authority know better than they do.  They have been taught that it is wise to give up asking the very questions that every spirit yearns for and needs to explore in order to find joy and peace.  Questions like 'What is the meaning of my life?',    "What am I free to choose?'.  "How do I connect with my Maker?'.   Most people go through life becoming aware of an increasing restlessness and emptiness, loneliness and fundamental disappointment.

There are many religions, organizations, professionals and teachers who offer answers and cures.  Most have much of great value to offer, but tend to offer it with strings attached.  They may expect you to follow the doctrine that they teach, to live obeying certain rules, to conform, to give them 10 % of your income, to have your allegiance. 

WDHR offers the timeless knowledge and wisdom that over the centuries has been the means for people to realize themselves, but we give it with no strings attached and no expectations.

You cannot join WDHR.  We do not require or want followers.  What you can find at WDHR is a loose association of people who wander in and out as they please.  They are all in one way or another involved in the great quest and often become friends and companions on the journey.

We do not have easy answers or access to secret knowledge unobtainable elsewhere. We believe that the answers to the questions are found through living life, the life you were meant to live.  Not the life that others think you should live.  We offer to people who are ready to find answers the means to do so. We will do everything possible to help you to discover who you really are and what you are really about. We can make it easier for you to cast off those things that have been imposed on you so that you can be ever more brilliantly and uniquely your Self.

We will not tell you who you are and who you are meant to be - that is a mystery each person must discover for themselves. We will show you how to facilitate and speed up the journey and make it more fun.

What We Offer:

WDHR offers courses in various aspects of life and living.  This used to be done purely on the basis of seminar/classroom type teaching.  We now also offer courses on-line, having started out on that almost accidentally and then finding that people gained more from the on-line teaching method than from the seminars.

We train esoteric healers who can help people clear physical, emotional and spiritual issues and blockages, so that they are free to move on to the next step in their evolution.

WDHR also trains teachers in the esoteric sciences.  They are then free to teach as they please.  Some go of independently and some remain teaching under the WDHR banner for a while.
